kamin Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Hi! i have the latest ImgBurn 2.3.0.0.. Im running into problems when i try to burn a dual-layered dvd. the disc is in file format in a VIDEO_TS folder and i am burning it in Build Mode. Just after i click the confirmation window with the size, volumelabel and paddinginfo, a window pops up that says: BurnThread Runtime Exception! Message=EAccessViolation if i click OK, an unstoppable series of windows pops up with the message: Access violation at adress 005AD72B in module "Imgburn.exe" Read of adress 00000064 i havent had any problems with version 2.2.0.0 burning from build mode.. thank you for an otherwise excellent program! /kamin
lfcrule1972 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Please can you post the full ImgBurn log as well as the error message ? ImgBurn saves them for you so if you have closed the program you can find them under Help, ImgBurn Logs
kamin Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 (edited) yes, but the window with the message: "Access violation at adress 005AD72B in module "Imgburn.exe" Read of address 00000064" just keeps on popping up every second and if i try to close all of them new ones are coming up... i have to end the process in task manager... i cant find any entries in the log... lfcrule1972 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Can you pop one of the blanks in ImgBurn and then with the prog in write mode, copy paste all the info from the GUI window on the right then please ?
kevdriver Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Kamin, as lfc said, a log is really helpful. Have you tried deleting Img and reloading a fresh copy. Maybe run a virus scan before loading that fesh copy of Img. Just a thought.

lfcrule1972 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Mmm ok sit tight, I think that whilst the forum was down one of the other beta's was having a problem with Verbs and DL build/burns. It's not something I have experienced myself so would like blutach to read this and see if it is the same problem he was having.
kamin Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 I tried downloading from official imgburn homepage and reinstalling it....didnt work..
lfcrule1972 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Please can you confirm that all settings are on default for ImgBurn ? I seem to remember reading about problems with some drives and the MKM-003-00 discs, I am pretty sure that the boss recommended the MKM-001 ones as being more reliable - not that it's much help to you now ! I have e-mailed blutach and asked him to take a look when he wakes up !
kamin Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 (edited) the only thing i have changed in the settings are the "delete image", "eject tray" and "verify" options the wierd thing is that build mode worked flawlessly in 2.2.0.0 Edited March 30, 2007 by kamin
polopony Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 PLEXTOR DVDR PX-760A 1.06 (SCSI) the drive is being reported as a scuzzy drive is it really one?, how is it connected in the computer ,have you been downloading drivers and installing them?
cornholio7 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 i can confirm the problem is being looked at by the boss, we tried some things on it yesterday and the boss knows where the problem lies http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=976916#post976916
kamin Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 my plextor is connected via SATA...i think thats why its shown as scsi ??
kamin Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 "I can confirm the problem is being looked at by the boss" thank you very much for the support and for being so helpful guys. ill run 2.2.0.0 for now, and i hope you manage to squash this bug for me and the others having the same problem. imgburn rules! /kamin
blutach Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Kamin, You can get round this thorny problem by building an ISO first and then switching to write mode. Regards
skoub Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 i have the exact same problem here! i have a Pioneer 112D with Verbatim DVD+R DL MKM-001-00 any news about that bug? btw, keep the good work!!
dontasciime Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 It's been fixed for next release which I believe will not be long.
kamin Posted April 10, 2007 Author Posted April 10, 2007 I saw today that a new version of Imgburn has been posted on the homepage, and that the bug has been fixed! Thanks again for all the replies and support guys! /kamin
