LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 17, 2007 Share Posted April 17, 2007 If it still says 2.3.0.0, you didn't install it properly. Â Your drive might not like the maxell media you're using. Â If there aren't any firmware updates available, you've no choice but to buy some different discs. Â I recommend Verbatim (I prefer the DVD+R ones) or Taiyo Yuden. lfcrule1972 Posted April 18, 2007 Share Posted April 18, 2007 If you are still getting those errors then your drive doesn't like the media you are using, look for the discs the boss suggested and see how you get on with those. polopony Posted April 19, 2007 Share Posted April 19, 2007 I think you're probably right if you Google P DVD Writer 740b theres nothing but problems pages and pages of people having issues with it .The new Pioneer 112 is out and from all reports on the forum its a good drive .The last thing HP made that was worth anything was their printers ,I have a handfull of them going back to the HP 930 and it wont die also the 940 prints and prints Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
