pagey Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 thanks again dontasciime, that makes it better but only 50% of the writes actually work and the other 50% fail is there any reason whythis might happen or is it just one of them things, thanks
lmao2k Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Is the burner old, newest firmware being used?
chewy Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I guess some laptop drives won't even burn verbatim with any consistency ? have you posted a filter driver load order? tools
dontasciime Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 try a CD cleaner If still the same and your laptop has USB 2 then get an external USB writer or build your own with enclosure and writer of your choice but search on here first for semaphore timeout errors.
pagey Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 lmao2k, the burner isnt that old only had it replaced about 2 mnths ago, as for the firmware i do not no and dont no anything about it, im a bit of a newbie and dont no much about these things sorry, chewy, (have you posted a filter driver load order? tools) im sorry but i dont understand any of that i dont know no what one is, sorry as i said i am a bit of a newbie, dontasciime, i will try a disk cleaner and see what happens, if it doesnt do anything then i will try the semaphore timeout errors but im sorry but what are they lol sorry, sorry guys if im annoying you thanks again
chewy Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 since that's a newer drive, newer model, let's assume you haven't worn it out yet under tools in imgburn, copy and paste the filter order
pagey Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 i couldnt copy and paste the filter order so i have enclosed pictures if that helps thanks
chewy Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 try removing the gear and the pxhelp(tied to sonic, itunes etc) and reboot if that does not help be looking for a good external as already advised the clipboard button would have been the same as copy
pagey Posted October 15, 2007 Author Posted October 15, 2007 tryed removing the gears etc and it wont even burn at all , gonna try a cd cleaner if it not then ill have to get an external cheers lads
