I burned a disc yesterday with 2.3.2.0 version and while finalizing i got that error displayed in the log. Then it said last attempt and butn was succesful.Verification process was good also, but i'm wondering if the whole burn has anything to worry about, since its video files that i dont want to lose.

-The md5 checksum matched the original though.IS a finalization issue so important?

-Anyway i got the latest firmware from nec site.Is the one you posted a modified flash file or just a mirror?

-Also on rpc-1.org there's also newer versions (rpc2 which is me) 1.f1 and 1.f2 probably they're modified, shall i try them?

The data is ok, the verify proves that. The trouble is, when the drive doesn't finalise the disc properly it can lead to problems in other drives - where they won't be able to read the disc at all (they'll fail to initialise it).

If it's important stuff, burn another copy.

Either way, do the firmware update.

1.04 is the latest for your model - direct from the nec site, I just looked it up!
