therock003 Posted February 19, 2008 Share Posted February 19, 2008 I burned a disc yesterday with 2.3.2.0 version and while finalizing i got that error displayed in the log.Then it said last attempt and butn was succesful.Verification process was good also,but i'm wondering if the whole burn has anything to worry about,since its video files that i dont want to lose. therock003 Posted February 19, 2008 Author Share Posted February 19, 2008 -The md5 checksum matched the original though.IS a finalization issue so important? -Anyway i got the latest firmware from nec site.Is the one you posted a modified flash file or just a mirror? -Also on rpc-1.org there's also newer versions (rpc2 which is me) 1.f1 and 1.f2 probably they're modified,shall i try them? The trouble is, when the drive doesn't finalise the disc properly it can lead to problems in other drives - where they won't be able to read the disc at all (they'll fail to initialise it). If it's important stuff, burn another copy. Either way, do the firmware update. 1.04 is the latest for your model - direct from the nec site, I just looked it up! (Mad Dog drives are NEC ones) 1.F1 is probably based on 1.01, 1.F2 based on 1.02 etc. So 1.04 IS the latest. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
