2nd comp won't read burned iso file

On my laptop I have imgburn. I burned an iso file, it verified that it burned perfectly, I tried to put the cd into my desktop, and my disc drive doesn't register that there's even a disc in there. I put in a different disc, it works fine. Just wondering if any one knew if I had to do anything to the desktop comp in order for it to read the iso-burned disc, thanks for any help.

A log would tell us the brand of disc you are using as I suspect that is the cause of your woes.

I 09:28:27 Source File File System(s): ISO9660, Joliet

Is it an AVI/DivX/game file you are burning?

It looks as you are using the computer heavily while you are burning the disc.

Try to close the disc by using the laptop.

Main Menu -> Tools > Drive -> Close

It is a sims game. When I put the disc into my laptop, it shows all the files that are on the cd, so it would appear that they burned okay, but the other computer won't read it at all. And thanks for letting me know about the other processes, I guess I forgot to turn off my torrent files while this was burning. I also tried to close the disc and got i/o error, I turned off everything i could on the laptop and am trying to re-burn now.

maybe the desktop dvd rom does not support reading from +R media if its an older one.

ok, i got a question i probably should have thought about before now. My desktop is a 5 year old computer, and it didnt come with a dvd burner, only cd. When I burned the game on the laptop, which has a dvd burner, I used a dvd disc, could this be why my desktop wont read it, because its on a dvd disc? Also, can you burn iso images on cd discs?

If it's only a CD reader/burner in your desktop computer, that is the problem.

Yes, you can burn ISO images to CD discs, but in your case the file is to big to fit on a CD.

Ok, I thank you so very much for all the help, I do appreciate you taking your time to help me with this!
