cannot burn my downloads

Hi people,

as you may guess i am very new at this so let me apologise as you must have heard this thousands of times but i'll try not to drag on. I have on my hard drive about 45-50 films downloaded mostly from the axxo site,as these come in one file i assume these are iso files?. I have read the guides and FAQ which seem to make me more confused. I bought this new pc which came with nero 7 and the films i tried to burn with this worked on our home dvd players fine, when i went to burn some more it told me my trial was up and to upgrade to nero 8 as everything but the nero dvd burning still works, i think it's the nero vision authoring program that was on trial?. Anyway i downloaded imgburn and this is when i started getting really confused, with nero it converted and burned the downloaded files in one go but this does not seem to. I have tried following the guides etc but mine don't seem to follow, i don't seem to be able to find the TS.VIDEO folder in the drop down and i tried following instructions to the letter. These downloads are dvd rips and then says AC3 after if this has got anything to do with it. I am not sure which i should go into, eg, write, build, create etc, but managed to put 6 films (700mb) each onto a disk but only play on a pc with VLC player? Also when i put the disk in the pc and see what's on it it tells me what films are on the CD and not DVD? i can't even remember how i done this as i must of wasted about 25-30 blank dvd's now and the kids want their films which is making the pressure on me unbelievable,(i have very needy kids). When i put it in the dvd it just tells me that the disk cannot be played. Please can any one tell me how to burn these downloads to dvd so they play on any dvd player and remember i am new at this and would like a detailed description on exactly on how to do this? I have gone into build, set the destination and the process stops near the end for some reason and asks me to retry, continue or close or has gone trough the whole process but will only play as stated above.. I now you who use this and now what your doing must think i'm really stupid,....and maybe i am but please help me, All the best and sorry if i dragged on...Cartoonhed.:wacko::blink::'( :& :o:(:/

You illegally download 45-50 movies and come here to ask us for help? You want the MPAA on your and our doorstep? Figure it out yourself or go buy the bloody DVDs.

ImgBurn is just a burning tool (i.e. it doesn't convert anything). Use DVD Flick to convert your movies :pirate2:

Hello my friend,

thanks for that tip. I downloaded DVD Flick and this converted the files into a VIDEO TS folder, when i put this into imgburn it tells me there are 9 files with a total size of 4.03 gigs, i checked these files on vlc player and its the film in sections, when i click the calculate button the size becomes massive with a -minus in front of the number and tells me there is not enough room, i am asked if i want to continue and if i do it starts and states there is an error then asks to continue, retry or cancel but cannot get passed this. I was also told by someone that a video ts file is a div x file and none of our dvd's have this facility. What am i doing wrong...???

Cartoonhed, As mmalves said, Imgburn is just a burning program. It doesn't do anything else. mmalves has helped you all he can, since you did state these were downloaded movies. As Blutach stated we can't help you any further with this matter but google is a friend. :/

Edit: Damn, too slow again........... >_<:P
