Jowkwondo Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 when i burn them onto a dual layer disc it doesn't ask me for layer breaks. is this normal? cause i don't know how to select it... last i time i tried with nero and it was a crappy disc and froze all the time...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Data discs don't have layer breaks.... well, the disc always has a physical one but you don't need to do anything special with it - unlike for DVD Video discs. If it's freezing all the time then your player probably can't read the disc properly - no software will fix that. You need a nice drive / firmware / media combo to get good burns. For DL stuff you should only be using Verbatim DVD+R DL media. The 2.4x (MKM-001-00) stuff works best - and look out for 'MIS' (made in Singapore) as the ones from other places aren't always as good.
Jowkwondo Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 ok thank you. yea right now i use GQ dl disks, I can't find any verbatim at my local store, but i'll check again next time. The reason i got these is because they were on sale and EVERY single disc i burn has play back problems. so it was a total waste of money.
