imidazol97 Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Memorex 8x +R DL discs won't finalise. Gives a read or write error. Earlier 2.4x Memorex disks did work. Memorex blamed my drive. mmalves Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Only Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks give consistently good results on most burners. The Verbatim 8x MKM-003-00 blanks seems to burn fine on newer burners. Avoid the ones Made in India. Every other dual-layer brand, regardless of the dye used to make the disc, is hit or miss. I have an HP laptop with DVD TSST corp CD/DVDW TS-L532M The driver is 5.1.2535.0 I had looked at TSST before for firmware updates.
