I 08:59:39 Destination Device: [0:0:0] PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8801 4D28 (D:) (ATA)

I 08:59:39 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) (Speeds: 2.4x)

W 09:23:05 Failed to Write Sectors 2058992 - 2059023 - Reason: Write Error

That media is low quality, so that's why you're getting a write error. We recommend using only Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks.

A firmware update could help, but the only firmware I've found for that burner is Dell's AD21 and I'm not sure if it's better than the one you're currently using. Alternatively, if you feel adventurous, you could crossflash your burner to a BenQ DW1650 :)

The easier way to solve your problem is to get Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks. They'll probably work with your burner as it is. See if you can return/exchange the ones you've bought.

Buy them, or Taiyo Yuden, from Meritline.com in the States.
