mk124red Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Hi I am looking to buy a samsung dvd burner, I need it to be able to set booktype to DVD-ROM. Will any Samsung drive booktype with IMG burn? dontasciime Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Any of the new range of Samsung writers will set DVD+R/DL to DVD-ROM with ImgBurn when Auto Change Book Type Is Ticked In Write settings. I have been rather unlucky with My Samsung dvd writers and DVD+R with PMA update failures and other I/O errors (these are with SATA writers and ICH7 Sata Controller also Via 6421 Sata Controller and a few various SATA to USB controller chipsets) Where as my IDE Samsung 202H has been fine with DVD+R when set to DVD-ROM The Samsung BR writers Should be OK with Auto DVD-ROM but not owning one I cannot say for sure, If they are available to buy now check out reviews etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
