I expect the commands just aren't supported in your drives firmware.

That's why it says 'Book Type Setting: N/A' in your log.

What machine is that drive in btw?

To answer dontasciime's question I did check it and it was ticked so I unticked it and got the same result.

To answer LIGHTNING UK!'s question it was in an emachines w3609 now it's in my self built computer. From what I read though it sounded like all the HL-DT-ST's supported it.

Is that game for xbox 1 ? [edit] I thought it was only for pc and 360 so the fact you are using single layer means pc version to me, or you have some special mod to allow 360 to read single layer discs.

Why exactly do you need to set disc to dvd-rom I would not have thought PC version would give a dam about this.

ImgBurn's booktype stuff supports all the LG drives that actually support changing the booktype, yours doesn't appear to.

That's not uncommon for OEM drives though.

You could try setting the booktype with CDSpeed and then see if it actually booktypes when you burn with Imgburn.
