jmet
I change the BIOS to boot from CD. Upon rebooting, my BIOS hangs for about 60 seconds, then proceeds to load. When it says press any key to boot from CD, I then press a key. It then goes to a black screen that says "Setup is inspecting your configuration" (or something close to that). It never loads. or I just didn't wait long enough. I waited for like 10 min. There is no activity light blinking either. What could be wrong? jmet
Well, the problem was a bad stick of RAM. Removed it then tried it again and it went as smooth as pie.

jmet
No I didn't, I think I will just hold off until I can buy another stick of the same brand.
Movie Junkie
No I didn't, I think I will just hold off until I can buy another stick of the same brand.Depending on the manufacturer it might have a lifetime warranty on it. Several of the large RAM dealers (Crucial, Mushkin and Kingston come to mind).
