zacw20
ok im new to imageburn or to all of this so forgive me for my ignorance. im having a problem writing images in imageburn. when i open an iso file imageburn pops up with an error message and tells me i should of opened the mds file so i do. and on others it allows me to open up the iso file to burn. not sure whats up with that? another problem is when i try to write larger images it comes up with an error message: I/O Error! Device: [1:1:0]Sony DVD RW DW-Q30A YYS2 (E:)(ATA) ScsiStatus:0x02 Interpertation: Check Conditon CDB: 53 00 00 00 00 00 2F 61 10 00 Interpertation: Reserve Track-Sectors: 3,105,040 Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 24 00 00 00 00 00 Interpertation: Ivalid Feild in CDB Retry Cancel I hit retry and it pops up repeatidly. LIGHTNING UK!
Try and burn again. This time, actually read the dialog boxes that pop up. I didn't add them for the fun of it, they're there to stop you from doing stupid things. Attemping to burn a file that's 50% larger in size than the capacity of the disc kinda falls under that category! This is the big giveaway here: W 00:01:29 User accepted disc space warning and is attempting to overburn!

lfcrule1972
Mmm I think the link below is for your drive - if it is you could update your firmware as it looks like a couple of revisions have been made and it could fix the problem. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1757 To double check open ImgBurn and where your drive is highlighted, right click and select "Firmware Updates" from the drop down menu - that should take you to the correct page at www.rpc1.org Finally, I use to use Ritek G05 dye but it started to get real unreliable so I switched to Taiyo Yuden TYG02 discs instead and have not had any bother since....
