mmalves Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 ImgBurn is free and will always be. You've been ripped off by someone else so take it to them.
volvofl10 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 this is like going into K-mart and demanding money back on an item you bought from Walmart go to the site you'bought' ImgBurn from and tell them your problem. This is the OFFICIAL ImgBurn support forum, where ImgBurn is FREE or you can DONATE if you choose.

mmalves Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 You're not alone... http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9035 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9242 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9261
Cynthia Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 The best thing about this software is that they give you lifetime upgrades for free. That way you can be sure to always stay ahead of copy protection and always have the latest version. Also, their tech support is great (although they are a bit slow) and they will help you if you have any isssues or any problems.
mmalves Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Actually the biggest joke is this bit: That way you can be sure to always stay ahead of copy protection (...) Ever since the Read mode was introduced in ImgBurn it never supported bypassing/removing any kind of copy protection at all
Guzeppi Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) So now advisory web pages, reviews, and articles are cropping up. All hailing the benefits of "Copy Game Pro" or "Copy That Game". Pages that will be picked up by search engines. The scam has grown huge and is bound to catch more fish in the net. They just bundle the free software ImgBurn (which doesn't remove game protection) and let the poor buggers squirm. Very unfair, unethical and nasty. About time there is a huge sticky or banner stuck on the forum index page as well as the main Imgburn website page that: IMGBURN (FREE SOFTWARE) IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH SCAMS SUCH AS "COPY GAME PRO" or "COPY THAT GAME". IT DOES NOT REMOVE COPY PROTECTION. Edited March 1, 2009 by Guzeppi

spinningwheel Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 This shows how bright this parasite is. Copying and pasting from a medical site. Fucking halfwit And also the mental acquity of the idiots reading the disclaimer.....
Jim Knopf Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Oh my God, what a bad ripp-off. Everything they're telling are lies. ORIGINAL Wii (and GameCube) Games CAN'T be copied by ANY Burning Application on the Market. Normal PC Drives can only copy/burn already ripped Wii/GC Images/Discs, and that can be done by EVERY Burning App that supports burning of standart ISO Images on DVDR (but ImgBurn is really highly recommended, as it's just the best). (sorry, post edited because it contains too much info that's not allowed on this forum) These people running these Websites are really badly ripping People off, and I really hope that some Actions could be taken against them. I think they never had any original Wii Game in their Hands and are only copying already backed-up Games and then play them on their Consoles which they've already bought fully modded.
spinningwheel Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Jim; The sellers know exactly what they are doing. You can trace the original asshole back to his first offering of copythatgame or whatever he calls it now and see that he knew/knows exactly what he's offering. His claim to legitimacy is the fact that he says he's offering his 'expertise' in the use of ImgBurn and that he's not charging for the product. He's also marketing resale rights to it as fast and hard as he can to websites and anyone else that will link to his page. Clickbank, PayPal and whatever other way the victim pays for it are all willing to make it right by refunding, for the time being, money spent on his fraud; but, how long that will last is anyones guess since they do not have sterling reputations either...As far as I am concerned, he's a bitch assed punk looking to make big $ at the expense of people looking to rip off the rightful owner of the media they are copying. spinner
