snoop3847 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 This is my 1st time trying to write a game to the disk. I've used the Build Facility and got a .dvd, .mds and also an ISO file with no extention details. I've added the .mds & .dvd files to the write queue but it wont allow me add the iso file. i've tried adding .iso after the name but still nothing it just keeps saying you should have selrected the mds file and not this one. Any tips on were im going wrong as im not very good at finding solutions to these problems and its driving me mental

snoop3847 Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Hi Thanks i've read some of the guides and ive followed the steps in how to use the queue but it still didnt help. I just dont get what im doing wrong and why it just wont add the iso file to the queue Edited March 1, 2009 by snoop3847
snoop3847 Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Yea i choose that first. But then i made a copy of the ISO file and renamed it with .iso at the end and then it let me add it to the queue, so its burning the disc now just dont know what i did different from before. thanks anyway
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 You don't add all the dvd, mds and iso files to the queue, you only add one of them - and that can either be the dvd one or the mds.
snoop3847 Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) Also I've Been reading the various post about burning and seen some people mention the break layer. I dont think i have one of these. What exactuly is it because i wasnt asked if i wanted to make one when i made the DVD Edited March 2, 2009 by snoop3847

LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 You've messed things up by renaming the file. sw-racepro.iso.iso should be: sw-racepro.iso Then when you load the iso it will tell you off and load the dvd file instead - which is what you should be doing in the first place (i.e. ignore the iso). The layer break info is in the dvd file and it instructs ImgBurn on how to burn the double layer iso image.
snoop3847 Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) Ok ill rename the file n try again, but the last time i tried to add the dvd file first it would let me. So i need to Load the .dvd file then load the iso file Edited March 2, 2009 by snoop3847
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Like I said, ignore the ISO exists (do not load it, do not do anything with it - besides giving it its proper name again). Load the DVD file and burn.
mmalves Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 As LUK said, follow this guide and choose the .dvd file as the image to burn.
snoop3847 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Thats it i got it now seem sso simple now i know how it works thanks very much for all your help
