Recently i´ve been having the error "waiting for buffers to recover"... i tought it was de kard drive because it´s been making a lot of noise, so I replaced with another one, but sometimes, less than before, the "waiting for buffers" error appears even tought i´m not using the disk other than burning. Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 Something must be going on with your system/hdd or there wouldn't be a problem What do you have running in the background (or in general) when you're burning? Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 Can you run something like HD Tune on your F:\ drive and see what speeds you get? 8x isn't exactly fast and something is preventing your system/hdd from even coping with that. Then it's taking 6 or 7 seconds to refill a 40 MB buffer... that's pretty poor - no wonder you're having problems. Do you defrag the drive? The HD i am using now only has one week so i haven´t defragmented it yet cause i thought i was not neccesary! Could it be something on the motherboard?
