Can't install to C:\Program Files

<br />aajr use these instructions to log on to the built in administrator account. As long has you didn't set a password none will be needed. Techman~ thanks for suggestion but I was only able to get the Windows Task Manager screen when I followed the instructions at the link you provided.

 

Perhaps this is because I do not have a "shared multi-user system'' as called for in directions on linked page. ("If you

did you log out of windows before you tried to get the log on box?

well if that don't work you can just use the user accounts to make a new administrator account log on to it and try to install from there.

 

maybe this link will help to setup a new admin account

techman~ Yes I logged out of Windows first. I made a new Administrator account but still received Access denied message.

 

I also tried to restore the original ImgBurn program which was .backed up on an external drive. It installed to the C:/Program Files destination folder but when I tried to run it I again received Access denied message.

 

I then re-installed ImgBurn to Desktop folder and it runs fine.

Why do none of your quotes / posts work properly?

 

They all contain html stuff for some reason.
