anikinda
Hi everybody! I'm from Russia. I tried to burn BD-R DL discs with ImgBurn. 1) I tried to burn BD-R DL disk from ISO image. 2) I tried to burn folders/files into BD-R DL disk. ImgBurn logs are attached. Both have error "Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error" Can you explain what does it mean? LIGHTNING UK!
It means your drive (and it's firmware) doesn't like those discs ('CMCMAG-DI6-000').
anikinda
It is strange because this drive supports discs 'CMCMAG-BA3-000' (BD-R SL) and 'CMCMAG-CN2-000' (BD-RE SL). So, it supports Single Layer discs of the same manufacturer. May it be the problem with DL discs? It is very difficult to find BD-R DL or BD-RE DL discs in Russia. What disc tipe can you recommend? Thanks a lot for assistance. Dmitriy
LIGHTNING UK!
I haven't done enough BD-R DL burning to be able to suggest any. Not only that, I don't have the drive you have in my collection. You'll just have to try and find some other BD-R DL discs that don't use the 'CMCMAG-DI6-000' dye/MID and hope they work a little better. A future firmware update may include/improve support for 'CMCMAG-DI6-000' so don't throw them away just yet
