  1. The thing that gets me is, as has been pointed out, why would any terrorist BLATANTLY flag something they want to hide with a ? on it?! TOO easily draws attention! That would have been like one of the terrorists who flew into the targets on 9-11 wearing a golden T-shirt with a ? on it. Eh, actually, he probably WOULD have passed through unaccosted, anyway!
  2. I've had the plot all along! It's right here in this little bottle. Labeled PLOT, clearly, in big, bold letters. Oh, no, that's the one that says POT. My bad!
  3. Mars has a relatively neutral atmosphere, so, yes, Venusians could withstand a common cold. The trick is they bring their own bottled atmospheres. Those stupid Martians came here and thought they had the world to themselves. But, the buggers were dumb enough to breathe our air, even though there is none of it on Mars to breathe, so, go figure. The Venusians were laughing their 3 asses off (Two in the back, one in the front.) when their probes beamed back the pathetic Martian invasion of 1898. Even more so when the dumb Reds, as they call them, tried again in 1938, 1953, 1988, and 2005.
  4. Oh, man, check THIS one out... http://www.gamespot.com/news/6147012.html "Power-up prank lands gamers in trouble Ohio girls face potential charges for joke after bomb squad is called; teenagers made life-size Mario power-up boxes, hung them around town. Games have gotten some kids in trouble again, but this time it's a far cry from the Devin Moore case, which continues to make headlines. This time the source of the problem wasn't an M-rated game like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or Doom, it was the seemingly innocuous Super Mario Bros. In the town of Ravenna, Ohio, five teenage girls, ages 16 and 17, crafted some life-sized power-up boxes modeled after those in the NES classic. The cardboard boxes were covered in shiny, gold wrapping paper and had the black question marks familiar to most gamers. As an April Fools joke, the girls laid 17 of these boxes around the town in public spaces Friday morning. The humor was lost on some residents, however. After noticing one package on the steps of a church, a concerned citizen reported the "suspicious package" to local authorities, who called in the county's hazardous materials unit and the bomb squad. Upon further inspection, no materials designed to harm people, mushrooms to increase a person's size, or flowers that bestow the ability to project bouncing fireballs were found inside the boxes. The packages were empty. Ravenna Police Chief Randall McCoy told the online edition of the Record-Courier that one girl came into the police department with one of her parents and claimed responsibility, saying it was just a joke. Apparently, the girls got the idea from the Web site Qwantz.com, which gives detailed instructions on how to make the boxes. The Web site intended the posting to inspire art projects, and several subversive artists have submitted photos of their Mario blocks in action across the country. The girls face possible criminal charges for their actions. While most in the online community think the authority's actions are a tad extreme, McCoy defends the proceedings of his department. "The potential is always present when dealing with a suspicious package that it could be deadly," McCoy told the Record-Courier. "In today's day and age, you just cannot do this kind of stuff." A posting on Quantz.com responds to the incident in Ravenna. "Not everyone has the same cultural context and not everyone is relaxed about public spaces. [The idea of the project] is to bring a smile to people's faces, to get them to connect with their neighbors, to bring color into an otherwise grey urban landscape. [We] are deeply sorry that things are not working out in Ravenna." By Tim Surette -- GameSpot Posted Apr 3, 2006 3:21 pm PT" Anyone who wants to prosecute underage girls for a prank like this is a fucking idiot! There, I said it! HOW many terrorists are going to leave a bomb with a GODDAMN QUESTION MARK blatantly on it?! "A golden box... with a question mark on it... golden box... gold... streets of gold... Heaven... question mark... perpetual VIRGINS! GOOD ALLAH! 'TIS A HOMICIDE BOMBER'S BOMB! Goddamn it, Muhammad!" I mean, with those kinds of clues, you might as well suspect ? And The Mysterians of making an unexpected, unintended come back! Jesus, it's been 21 years since Super Mario Brothers was unleashed upon the world! Every kid since then has been exposed to it. Thus, by proxy, those kids who are now adults know what it is! It's not like it's a mystery WHAT they mean... WHY someone would do it, yes, I can see asking that question. Because, it is kind of dumb. Especially for an April Fool's Day prank. I mean, WHO are you intending to fool? Although they never intended to trick anyone, those two sure made a fool out of some tight assed people who revealed their sheer stupidity overreacting to this.
  5. Hey, I've gotta go with the winning side! Any race that can withstanding breathing layers of sulfuric acid has got to have the advantage over us.
  6. We are the Individual Two! The world's most powerful, smallest army!
  7. I was thinking that was probably must have been what happened. Because, if Pain Man was made part of the team... I'd walk off in protest and spill my guts to the Venusians who can use any and all info they can get to CONQUER US ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
  8. The 1007 set did change the text of one of the controllers to "Intel? 82801EB USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 24DD" apparently also gave it a boob job! Driver version # is listed as 1001, so, I guess that's all as it's supposed to be.
  9. I would copyright every swear word. I'd be set for life on Hollywood royalties in the first year alone!

    nec 3500 firmware

How can I slip corrupted firmware out into the wild in some of the more popular drives if NEC keeps changing the locations on me?! I have developed firmware commands that tell the drive to spin up discs to their fastest, then eject the trays, flinging the discs out like helicopters of DEATH! Kind of sounds like an old Doctor Who serial title, doesn't it? "DOCTOR WHO! HELICOPTERS OF DEATH! BY TERRANCE DICKS EPISODE 1."

    RPC1.org?

So it is. It had been returning forum not found errors and some SQL type errors, indicating database problems.
  12. So, you looked here? http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df...45&submit=Go%21 Christ, I hate when they do this! This makes like the third time in recent memory I've posted this "Why can't people be consistent with this ?!" So, should the 975x page replace the 875PBZ page I check for updates? i.e. would the BIOS here be for my board, too? I would say no, just for obvious reasons, but, thought I'd ask.
  13. You said it, not me. So, it must be true! Right?
  14. The YYYY first format is popular with a lot of websites because a lot of relational databases begin that way. It makes it easier to handle things on a yearly basis and for tax purposes to be able to isolate yearly files.
  15. What exactly is happening in this step? By that, I mean, in particular, what caches are being synched and what are they being synched to? Zero? I believe the text is what is returned by a drive when, basically, the Synch Cache command is issued to a burner, and that that command is for finalizing the last open track on a disc. But, I was wondering what caches are being synched, or is it some kind of generic text that doesn't really mean what it says.

    nec 3500 firmware

Unfair bastards! Tricked me! There are, strangely, TWO sites with listed firmwares. I had bookmarked this one: http://www.de.nec.de/softwareoverview2.php/id/557 and have been using it for a year or so as an alternate site to check for updated firmware for the 3500. Then, they go and actually use THIS for the new firmware: http://www.de.nec.de/softwareoverview2.php/id/1333 WHY can't anyone use consistency?!
  17. LUK, I found this site http://www.majorgeeks.com/download1667.html Is that what you were talking about? Also, if I can't trust the Intel site, where should I be looking for the updates? Where do you look? Also, should I be looking somewhere else other than Intel's site for any new BIOS versions? The last one I found was back in June. Thanks!

    RPC1.org?

Has RPC1.org been redesigned/partially down for the last day? The search doesn't work because there only seems to be the forums up over there now.
  19. Don't feel too bad. Confuses the Hell out of our thinking even as Americans, too!
  20. I thought of DVDReMake, too. But, I thought its splitting ability wasn't very precise, though. That it was more of a guess based on where you placed the cursor. I also though you could do a split but you'd have to remember that the number of chapters would "double" while the number of Chapters on the menu would remain static. Something the user would have to remember/know ahead of time/keep in mind/figure out.
  21. It is a good question. I don't know if anyone else other than US and its territories employs that style or not.
  22. I would have thought by now I'd have made my allegience quite clear. I am a firm supporter of the Doctor Octopus for King Of The World campaign. I do support eight legs, but, not of the arachnoid kind: the cephalopod kind!
  23. One of these days, I need to give PGCEdit a throw around and see what it's all about.
