Ambimom Posted January 15, 2011 Share Posted January 15, 2011 Twice while burning a disk with ImgBurn, my brand new Windows 7, 64 bit crashed. The blue screen of death indicated that the problem was the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (iaStor.sys). I also noticed that prior to the crashes, the CPU was running at almost full capacity. It's not Intel MSM now, it's Intel RST - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2101&DwnldID=19607&lang=eng&iid=dc_rss During the burn, only 2 commands are being sent to the drive (over and over again) so it's nothing I'm doing. Just wanted to say a belated thanks! I knew there was something wrong with the driver, but you were the only person who indicated that the name of that driver had changed....I know a simple thing...but it was vital information.
