Intel Matrix Storage Manager Incompatibility

Twice while burning a disk with ImgBurn, my brand new Windows 7, 64 bit crashed. The blue screen of death indicated that the problem was the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (iaStor.sys). I also noticed that prior to the crashes, the CPU was running at almost full capacity. I've attached the relevant information dumps on one of the crashes FYI

If iaStor.sys is crashing, talk to Intel!

Have you tried the latest driver from them? It's not Intel MSM now, it's Intel RST - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2101&DwnldID=19607&lang=eng&iid=dc_rss

During the burn, only 2 commands are being sent to the drive (over and over again) so it's nothing I'm doing.

Just wanted to say a belated thanks! I knew there was something wrong with the driver, but you were the only person who indicated that the name of that driver had changed....I know a simple thing...but it was vital information. I downloaded the correct driver (thanks for the correct link) and Imgburn has been working like a charm ever since. I am thrilled!

Thanks!
