Imgburn 2.5.8.0 launch error

Recommended Posts

Hi there...

This is my first post. I love Imgburn, have been using extensively for over a year on my other machines. On this machine today I launched Imgburn and get this error:

-------------------------------------------
ImgBurn
-------------------------------------------

X   I/O Error!

Device: [1:3:0] TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552L 0614 (F:)(ATA)

CDB: 12 00 00 00 60 00
Interpretation: Inquiry

Reason: Invalid access to memory location

    [Retry]  [Cancel]

-------------------------------------------

The PC is kind of old, is running WinXP. My SATA DVD/CD drive doesn't work on its SATA controller, so I'm using an IDE optical drive. I don't have issues with it, in general. Seems to work OK with other programs. I don't know if this issue is related to the optical drive. The machine is running AVG free AV. I temporarily disabled AVG and the error happened as usual upon launch of Imgburn. Thanks for your help. I just registered, will attempt to make sure I get an email when this thread is posted to. Thanks again.

Boot into safe mode and see if the same thing happens.

If it does, come back on the forum and get the error up on the screen. Either screenshot and upload it for me please or press CTRL+C to copy it to the clipboard and then CTRL+V to paste it into your reply. It's important I have it *exactly* as displayed.

This morning Imgburn sees the optical drive after a restart.

I don't normally reboot the machine often, but had to yesterday because my HDTV session had a lockup, completely locked up machine, unresponsive. So, I started the machine from scratch.

Thank you for the response. Again, I just love Imgburn!  :headphonedance:
