Hey! I just downloaded ImgBurn today and set it up to burn an image from a file on my hard drive, but when I put the disc in to burn the image to, it said "Disc not empty" at the bottom and the following was written in the box on the right:

MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-841S 1.50 (ATA)

Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):

Part Version: 5

Disc Size: 120mm

Track Density: 0.74 um/track

First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608

Trouble is, this was a brand new disc, factory sealed, so I don't know what the problem is. Any ideas?? :ermm:

Have you tried another disc from the same spindle?

For what it's worth, Daxon isn't worth the money...Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden only.

EDIT: You've actually got a double whammy there...

Not much of a drive either.

IF it was a brand new disc and still shrink wrapped, your burner doesnt like them. Have you attempted to write to this disc already though

Look at the bits in red above, the manufaturer ID is usually what shows when the disc is a poor quality one, or the drive just cant read it properly.

try updating the firmware as this may overcome the problem , also try some Taiyo yuden or verbatim discs as well

Which version of the program are you using?

The drive shouldn't be reporting 'Incomplete' for the disc status but I'm pretty sure ImgBurn has certain checks in it if that's the case and other fields have certain values which basically mean the disc is blank.

This disc was shrink-wrapped, too, so I don't know what's going on. I'm not all that computer savvy so I'm not really sure what you mean about updating the firmware...how do I go about that? The ImgBurn I have downloaded is ImgBurn v2.4.1.0.
