Problem Burning Memorex, Ridisc, Verbatim - DL

Hello, I will post my log and a printscreen, please tell me what to do, as I'm unable to burn any kind of dvd-dl :S

Do not put optical drives on 'RAID' enabled controllers.

If you really, really, really have to, make sure the drivers for the controller are up-to-date.

Which controller is your drive connected to? And by that I mean who makes it? Intel, Nvidia, Silicon Image, JMicron etc?

Hello thanks for your fast reply,

just disconnected from my external sata controller and connected to the motherboard sata port but...

My motherboard is a Asus P5KC, and the chipset is VIA, but I think the manufactear is JMicron.

Don't bother with the screenshots, just copy + paste the text from the log.

You can even copy + paste from the error boxes by press CTRL+C to copy to the clipboard and then 'paste' it however you want (i.e. CTRL+V).

If the controller the drive is on now is a jmicron one, get the latest drivers from here:

I already really "burned" more than 20 dvd-dl's... I will post if sucessufly or not.

Ok at least you're getting the proper error codes from the drive now.

As you can see, the drive reported a 'Write Error' when trying to burn to the media you're using.

There's a 1.09 firmware update available for the 216D, you should give that a go.

I'm not seeing the 1.09 updated firmware there.

Did you install it?

Don't waste another DL until you see it say 'PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-216D 1.09' in the disc information box on the right of the main window.

Yes, I did it after..

1st situation: the first dvd after update the writer dvd-dl burned sucessefly

2nd dvd-dl, just got really burned..
