Hi and welcome to the forum, JakasE! :)

I 20:17:53 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!

Try to use the latest version. It might be an issue with your drivers that the latest version might fix.

That shouldn't be a problem since the image is being read from your F: drive. Your filter driver load order looks OK.

Can you take that drive out of the USB enclosure and plug it into your PC? Or, if it's a laptop, try the drive with another IDE-to-USB cable? An easier option would be to try burning with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) DVD+R DL blanks

Try installing the 1.11 firmware from here:

http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_47-file...rr_111.exe.html

If that doesn't work, try the drive on another pc.

Then read mmalves last post again - but do it properly this time. We know you have the drive externally at the moment but it's just a normal drive in a box. Take it out of the box and you can plug it into a normal desktop machine via ide/sata or whatever.

I assume you've already tried a new USB lead and different USB sockets on your PC?

Can you still burn single layer DVD-R / DVD+R ok?

It's impossible to say if it's the drive or the media until you actually show us a log of it trying to burn *decent* media - i.e. something by Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

If the best media you can get (Verb/TY) fails then you have to assume it's the drive.

Drive wise, take a look at the drive related forums at cdfreaks and make your own mind up.

Something like a Pioneer DVR-116/117/216/217 or Optiarc AD-7240S should be pretty solid bets.
