  1. Been using dvd decytptor, shrink and IMGtool now for a bit. Just switched to a new PC and all the movies now drop out about 3/4 way through. All is good - very good - but toward the end of the movies the copy starts to step, then drop scenes. then it dies. Maddening. Tried setting the burn to rate to 1, fails in the same place. Using all the latest code versions, and philips +r disks (got sony players). Tried verifiying the copy - it verifies fine. Running avg antivirus - turn it off - no luck. burner is a sony 720a with latest code it too. I'm stumped. any ideas?

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but because of legal problems with DVDD it is no longer being supported and no more upgrades will be available . We no longer answer questions about it .This is necessary to avoid further legal problems .There is IMGburn to burn your ISO's and that will be the program we will support , give it a try

  2. all automatically without the need for the monitor to be on.

I think nero has this ability but (maybe I'm remembering it wrong) you had to click a mouse button to confirm the burn and then it'd eject and also click to start it (ok perhaps not click to start it part) but the monitor had to be turned back on. Basically want to do this so a blind monkey could do it (i.e. my wife).

Nero had/has the ability to handle multipile recorders and I believe you still had to hit Burn when making multiple copies

  3. if you want to know what the speed is from Nero then the best way is to look at the actual burn time and not the reported speed, around the 10 minute mark will be 6x for a full dvd

  4. look for a driver conflict with another program ,if I remember right there was problems with dvd43 and maybe anydvd with the program before this also by LUK, and IMGburn is basically the iso write portion of the previous proggy. When you're the only one so far to have this problem then its probably specific to your comp.I dabbled with other programs and had downloaded them but then found that shrink and dvdd did all that I needed but now I'll use IMGburn for all my writing

  5. I havent been on their site in years for the same reason thats quite obvious . Instead of doing a little homework and finding out that LUK in fact has put out another cool proggie FOR FREE they chose to jump all over Jmet and all I read was his giving them a heads up about the release of IMGBURN. The last time I was on was a debate with a MOD who should have been minding his own P's and Q's instead he chose to get involved and push his weight around and display an attitude that showed him for what he was and I'm sure still is a :swear: asshole

  6. I'll say no it wont call up IMGBURN .Any program that would use Decrypters burn engine will be looking for just that, Decrypter and nothing else .When IMGBURN is out long enough those programs that called for Decrypter might be changed to look for IMGBURN or an option of Decrypter or IMGBURN but one in particular Shrink is not being upgraded anymore, it would be up to the programmers to change it and release new versions .Just an opinion

  7. all of them want to point the finger at someone else for the screwup, there is enough blame to go around and that includes the people of New Orleans and Biloxi who wouldn't heed the warnings and get out .Many who stayed thought it was a case of crying wolf becaus they've had warnings about past hurricanes that were going to hit the area and never did and thought it was more of the same

  8. [ quote ] From what I've read (and how I understand Fair Use rights; again see rosslaw's comments) the official DVDD forum was shutdown as part of the deal LUK! was forced to make with MV and not because of any laws being violated by discussing his tool. [/ quote ]

LUK was discussing his tool at length and it might have contributed to dvdd forum being shut down you say , boy I got to pay more attention I totally missed that topic
