synchronize failed after DVD writer replacement
sparafucille replied to sparafucille's topic in ImgBurn Support
I already noticed that and updated to TN02 and then to TN03 (last one I found) will try lower speeds thank you for your quick replay -
Greetings I replaced my LG and I still get synchronize failure messages and ImgBurn cannot finalize the disc, so that DVDs are piled in my garbage can. Please help! Greetings I was too quick to deduce that firmware upgrade solved the problem. Situation now is this: succeed in burn one but throw three to the garbage. Didn't add log file since it is the same as the one at the top except for the firmware change. Decided to clean the disk, defrag and see what happens. Small improvement: now I burn one and throw only two to the garbage. maybe it's really time to replace the LG. Will report if replacement helped. Thanks for your help.

Also apply the latest firmware for your burner. Bingo!! thank you so much for your good and quick advice. Tomorrow I'll try burning a DL. If it works I won't have to apply the warranty (I still have 9 months to go). bless you!

This is odd, since I burned under optimal conditions: the PC was closed (shutdown) I opened it, waited for the OS to mount and the disk to stop blinking with its led. So that memory was at it best. No applications was in the background except for the usual processes. And I do it 3-4 times a day. Always at the speed of x8, except for DLs which I burn in x4 (my PC is too weak, still core 2 duo with 2GB RAM) And I never failed in years. but I'm willing to try. thanks for the quick reply

Also apply the latest firmware for your burner. Sorry for my ignorance: did you mean that I should download TL03 from 2010 and apply it? thanks again

Greetings Windows XP Pro ++ SP3 ImgBurn 2.5.6 LG x22 I tried to burn data on a Verbatim DVD+R (speed = x8) twice and failed (Synchronize failed message at the end). Did it many times before. > Build mode is necessary due to long file names read the guides and didn't find a hint thanks anyway

thanks I also deleted sptd.sys due to imgburn warning. and I still have two problems: 1) where do I set imgburn to open in build mode? it always opens in EZ-mode picker (2.5.2) 2) I still have failures in burning dvd+r dl. Should I lower speed to x4?
-
Greetings OS: Windows XP+SP3 ImgBurn: 2.5.2 Trying to fight with cutting of long file names I did the following: 1) read the guide (The_ImgBurn_Functions) - it was not much of a help 2) read The ImgBurn Settings - found few hints 3) read The ImgBurn Build Mode - again few hints 4) following the hints, in Build Mode, right box options, changed to ISO9660+Joliet+UDF and in the same right box, advanced, restrictions, ISO9660, I put folder/file length on level x, and checked "allow more than 225 chars in path" and in restrictions, Joliet, again I changed to level x questions: is there anything else I should do to allow lengthy file names? does this right box has an effect if I'm not in Build Mode? If not, where do I find it in the settings? thanks Sparafucille
