    I don't use InCD anymore as I suspect it caused a lot of the record & playback probs I was getting. It formats (it says) in 3min whereas Imgburn takes about 15 and doesn't recognise a format done by InCD and always wants to format again.

     

    Other forums I visit always recommend removing InCD because of, as has been said, conflict issues esp with Roxio. It even needs its own clean tool to remove and it causes a lot of burn failures with Nero - very odd as its part of Nero.

     

    Before I started using Imgburn I burnt with Nero and had loads of playback problems. Thats why using Imgburn came a such a pleasant surprise. It burns a lot quicker than Nero, even when its being held back to 8x on 16x media, with no burn failures or playback probs. All the focus with Imgburn is on the burning, with its formatting ability being overlooked, but I'm starting to think this is a major strength of the prog.

     

    So my advice, and this is really bizarre considering where we are, is remove InCd and reformat all you RW's with Imgburn. Also, I don't know if you guys have tested Verbatim +RW, but the quality is not as good as their +R. I gave up on them and switched to Phillips...

    I am struggling with ZA 7 at the moment, the stupid thing is fooking up the virus scans each night and getting stuck on random .rar files. Most nights it's running for 7 hrs before I come down and skip the scan ! :( Will uninstall and try a new install tonight......

     

    I recently uninstalled ZA 7 after using ZA for years. I kept getting out of system resources messages which it might be causing, so off it came. No probs since. I've heard ZA works well with AVG, but I don't know what AV you're using. Also check windows firewall is off...

    Yeah they will need a lot of guys to carry the coffin...one each end and two abreast (haven't told that one in a long time).

    If your not too bothered about a pulse Anna Nicole Smith could be a possibility now shes nominated herself for the Darwin Awards. A former Playboy bunny a relationship might be possible if you got in quick and kept her in the fridge...

    I've never had a lot of luck with RW media. I used to record cartoons and stuff off Sky for my son using RW and recording over once he'd watched them, but soon I would start getting recording and playback errors. Some of them I threw away straight out of the box cos they wouldn't record.

     

    The way RW works will always make for poor, ongoing recording in my view.

     

    Imgburn seems to be the only tool which does a proper format. Nero don't it seems to me, and what these DVD recorders do to a disc is anybodys guess. I've given up on RW and now use R or H/D.

    Bought a Wii for my son a few weeks ago. They were hard to get hold of and it was great fun going into a shop and asking when they were going to have a Wii, have you had a Wii recently, is having a Wii a good idea and so on.

     

    My son loves it, they have some great games, but they are ?40 each with no pre-owned market yet.

    Perhaps is time for a new version

    Ah but you know when to be serious and when to horse around. Before signing up I went through the back pages of the Support Forum (all 41 pages - not much of a night life in Bedford) to get a feel for the forum and not to ask things already asked.

     

    Besides your technical ability the thing that stood out was your devotion and commitment not just to Imgburn but to LUK and each other. I felt that if LUK said today we are going to sail across the Atlantic the Beta Team would start building a boat. Very impressive. :thumbsup:

    why add things to IMGburn that are not necessary you can reset DMA in the device manager

     

    Thats what I thought, but I saw this feature has been recently added to another popular program (not for burning) and I thought it was a brilliant idea - speaking as a user not a programmer.
