  1. But i just installed like an hour ago,and burned this one DVD-media disc WITHOUT tampering with any of the settings, cause i thought they would be same as with last imgburn release. Honest to god,i didnt change anything tilll the time i posted.I only changed the md5 and the reserve path after i was told herre to do so.
  2. I didnt it was on by default. So i gues when you uninstall and install e=new version, previous settings arent reserved in registry or something, right?
  3. I just want the files i select to be burned, not the initial folders they're in. For example i want to burn 6 avi files.I select these files, and only these appear as root of the cd drive. Not the folders they are located in my Hard drive. Cause i did burn six avi that initially were on "H:\Movies\2\" And imgburn created the folders movies and 2.I didnt want that,i just wanted the files i selected.
  4. Yep it is ifxed all right, although with the new version new strange things are happening. A)Firstly theres the thing that folders from root till the files are being burned although i didnt ask for it.Fr example i drag & dropped 6 folders,to my compilation, but after disc was burned, the two initial folders, from the root of the drive till the folders i burned exist,so i now have to browse two of the unnessecary folders to get to the ones i burned... B)And then on the log, after verifcation is done i dont see original and disc md5.I always like to check it manually after disc is burned.
  5. Nope it doesnt display anything of date relation. You can only see the folders creation date of the contents but thats got nothing to do with burning date.
  6. Ok i did all of the above and burned again with success, but i misplaced the initial dvd and now i cant say which is which. IS there a way to id via the log or any other way, which dvd of the 2 is the one not finalized correctly?
  7. Oh i see,i thought that mad dog was the nickname of the guy modifying them.I suppose it's easy to get confused. So 1.04 is the way to go!
  8. thanx a lot,i will try it now,cheers.
  9. yes i know about it being the officially last,i'm just wondering if newer modified flashes have anything more to offer. Ok i'll do it since you advise me to,thanx for the support.
  10. -The md5 checksum matched the original though.IS a finalization issue so important? -Anyway i got the latest firmware from nec site.Is the one you posted a modified flash file or just a mirror? -Also on rpc-1.org there's also newer versions (rpc2 which is me) 1.f1 and 1.f2 probably they're modified, shall i try them?
  11. Hello,i've just seen that the new version is out.Did you happen to ressolve this issue with this new version?
  12. I burned a disc yesterday with 2.3.2.0 version and while finalizing i got that error displayed in the log. Then it said last attempt and butn was succesful.Verification process was good also, but i'm wondering if the whole burn has anything to worry about, since its video files that i dont want to lose. Whats with that error, and how did it get finilised after displaying it?Here's the log: I 01:39:25 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! 13. Nice info, thanx a lot for your input.I cant wait for the terbyte discs era!Lots of data to be stored.
  14. Nice,i like the way you expressed your opinion. So when do you thnk that prices will drop to a reasonable amount?Like 100-200 dollars for bluray and hd burners? Will it take more than a couple of years? What will result on the price drop?
  15. When do you suppose that Blu-ray and HD-DVD media and recorders will become accesible to the public?MEaning of course that price being sold will be conevenien and there will be a switch from dvd to the next-gen media? Today you can buy the latest, fastest and best dvd-/+ r/rw recorders on the market with like 50-70,100 euros at the worst if its a plextor drive, and media in bulk qualities on quantities of a 100 discs available with 20euros.So far so good. But what's with the next gen stuff? What's up with that?
  16. The disc verification was already succesfull, but does that mean that this resulted in a quality disc that will last through time?
  17. How will i know if network card is 10/100 or 10/100/1000? One pc is desktop and one is laptop. The desktop is old like bought in 2001 with no network card and i bought one for and i think it is a gigabit or a linksys 10/100/1000 but im not sure.Laptop came with a netwrok adapter but i think its only 10/100 but still not sure. Well anyway i used the blue ty dvd+r discs 1-16x certified and 20x compatible and write speed auto (max). I dont intend to burn via network, its just that disks are full right now and i extracted some content to my laptops storage and burned it from there. So do you think that this disc is fine or should i re-write it?
  18. Hey guys,so i burned a compilation where all the files where stored on a computer nearby on my home network and i got lots of buffer warnings and want you to check it and see if its something important. The compilation consisted of a picture,a pf and a 4.2gb iso so i had to make the filesystem udf only.So anyway here's the log: I 14:32:27 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! 19. Yeah no worries,i will be gone till the end of this month anyway so i'm in no particular hurry.
  20. You fixed it by updating the imgburn or the source code for sms?Cause I didnt see a new imgburn version. As i said i already suggested it to him on the official sms forums, and he made his argument of not doing something about it,at least in the near future. Personally i'm not a developer and i dont know of ways to help contribute to this subject other than report inconvenient behaviours by reporting them. How difficult is it in your opinion for udf support to be implemented in a project, and especially on this specific one? EDIT:With Joliet fixed i guess i won't have any problems with future burns, but i insist on this udf matter so that there's no problem with the older ones, the ones that i have already burnt, and i cannot do anything about it,and they're a lot! And the thing is that it isn't an aisthetic problem only,it has practical use.If the filename are truncated and strange external subs corresponding to them dont work,so i have no subs!
  21. You mean fixed as far as joliet goes? As for udf,no it doesnt support it.I tried to burn a udf only disc, and sms didnt read it at all. If you could Contact the author that would be the best, but when i mentioned it to him a while back,he said something about having to rewrite code from scratch in order for udf support to be added, and that would be very incovenient. Thanx a lot for looking into it.
  22. In short It is an application for ps2,that launches divx-xvid video files, and i'm experience some problems with the filenames hence the topic creation.take care.
  23. No in windows they seem fine, and it's not a feature in sms,a bug maybe, because only these new discs behave like that. The only time i had no problems was when i burnt with nero. When i started using imgburn first i had the udf incompatibillity, which resulted in truncated filenames on the sms end,and now i have that directory issue.Still i prefer imgburn ,that's y i'm looking for a solution rather than switching back to nero!
