Cynthia Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 Assume that you have some media codes on your discs that is not supported with the original firmware, by experimenting you can try to use a write strategy for another media code for those discs. It's also possible to get the 4x rated discs to burn faster by tweaking the firmware. It was very common in the old days. The Nec 1300 could be a nice burner with tweaked firmware.
