Error on burn completion.

OS: Windows 7, build 7077.

Write-media: Arita, DVD-R DL (8,1 GB, 8x speed).

When writing a folder to the dvd, it fully works. But when it's 100% complete, it doesnt do anything. It does say 100% (Complete), but I dont hear the finish-sound,

nor does a completion-popup show. When using task manager to quit imgburn, it does disappear. However, the process that keeps the user from opening the burner stays active.

Which causes me to have to make a reboot.

I burned a folder, containing 3 files. (up to 800 MB), also I chose the option to only use the first layer.

Do you remember what it said in the status bar? If your drive doesn't tell ImgBurn that it has finished then ImgBurn will keep waiting on the drive's response.

Make sure you have the latest firmware available for your burner and the latest drivers for the storage controller where the burner is connected to. If it does that again, you can run ImgBurn and use the Eject button to open the tray.

Nope. Since this error doesnt occur when burning images.

If you're only burning to the first layer on DL media, the drive will probably burn the 2nd layer (to mirror what's written on the first) when ImgBurn has finished sending all the actual data.

So basically, it'll take a while to finish, just let it. Next time, keep an eye on the status bar and the log window because (combined) they tell you exactly what it's doing.
