So i burned my first xbox 360 backup and wasted no dvds , it all turned out good the box reads the game but i still havent played. I want to know why is write rate is 2.5-2.6x , when my write speed was 1x.( the media i used only supports 2.4x) Here is the log. Thanks

I 15:59:42 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 2.4x)

I 15:59:42 Write Type: DAO

I 15:59:42 Write Speed: 1x

Also 1x was not a valid choice as your writer/media only allows 2.4x in the same way you could have set it to 24x but you would only get 2.4x [2.5x 2.6x] on your writer/media combination 2.4x being the norm.

ok so if i set it to 2.4x it will not go over 2.6x?. I really want to avoid the drive to overspeed , at least not anymore than 2.6 , because its a 360 backup i need the burn to be perfect so the game doesnt freeze or something.

Thats not what i said. Your writer is a little quirky in that setting the speed to 2.4x which is the only speed your media is (so you setting 1x the drive/media was never gonna adhere to that so Don't try 1x as you cannot use 1x) anyways back to this quirky drive when you set to 2.4x the drive flips between 2.5. 2.6 2.4 you cannot stop that behaviour a new firmware might but i doubt it and as LUK has said it is nothing to worry about
