WIGGY48 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I have been trying to make a back up copy of a dvd which is not copy protected and is region free. It is a DL disc and I have tried both with and without anydvd. The copy plays the first title which is about 10 sec long then stops in my dvd player - no access to chapters or anything. The dvd plays ok in clone dvd. I also tried Imgburn to make an iso copy from which I was going to make a dvd - the iso file was about 7.9GB but when I came to write it ImgBurn said the image size was about 1.6MB and 10 sec long! What is going on here ? Any ideas gratefully received.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 No log, no disc info... how are we supposed to help? Please provide both those bits of info. The log stuff can be copied from the log window after a failed attempt at reading the disc. The disc info can be copied from the panel on the right when you're back on the main screen.
WIGGY48 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) No log, no disc info... how are we supposed to help? Please provide both those bits of info. The log stuff can be copied from the log window after a failed attempt at reading the disc. The disc info can be copied from the panel on the right when you're back on the main screen. There is no log since there is no failure to write merely an indication that what is to be written is only 10 seconds worth. However I have tried again and this time got an error message attached - I also attach a log file which I hope is of use HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-T21N A1R1 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD-ROM Disc Information: Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 4,120,496 Size: 8,438,775,808 bytes Time: 915:41:71 (MM:SS:FF) TOC Information: Session 1... LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Where are you getting these '1.6meg and 10 seconds long' figures from? Also, if you're going to burn to DVD-R DL and you're not burning directly, make sure you adjust the Double Layer profile info on the media tab to DVD-RL rather than leaving it on DVD+R DL. That way it'll actually make an image with a nice layer break that can be burnt to DVD-R DL and you won't get those errors.
