mmalves Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 First, please update ImgBurn. Some other program may be interfering with the burner and that could be causing the lock volume function to take a long time. This post from the FAQ might help you find what's holding the burner
Shinobi_Artist Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 I already tried using the updated version I got the same problem. When I use process explorer it says that imgburn is the only program using it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Updating won't fix the issue but it does mean we're all working on a level playing field. Try using the 'unlocker' program instead of Process Explorer. You might have a bad filter driver (or controller driver) installed that's not letting the lock work. Can you post the filter drive info too please - look in the Tools menu. Once the API function has been called, it's out of ImgBurn's hands. You OS should respond with a 'Yes' or a 'No' but instead it's just hanging.
Shinobi_Artist Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 Ok I installed the newest version and here is the filter drive load order. =============================================== Filter Driver Load Order - ImgBurn v2.4.4.0 =============================================== Upper Device Filter: [None Found] Upper Class Filter: [None Found] Device: CD/DVD-ROM Device Lower Class Filter: PxHelp20 Lower Device Filter: [None Found] Filter Name: PxHelp20 File Name: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\PxHelp20.sys File Version: 3.00.67a [3.0.67.0] File Description: Px Engine Device Driver for Windows 2000/XP Product Name: PxHelp20 Product Version: [2.0.0.0] Company Name: Sonic Solutions Copyright: Copyright
blutach Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Nothing really bad there, although you should remove PxHelp20.sys Regards
