W 18:44:55 Failed to Write Sectors 2755040 - 2755071 - Reason: Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32)

Update ImgBurn to the latest version. There's newer firmware available for your burner, but hold off on updating the drive until this logical unit communication error is solved.

You need to install updated drivers for the SATA controller where the burner is connected to. First, run Windows Update (look in Control Panel) in order to update your Windows Vista (this feature sometimes also finds updated drivers for your hardware). Alternatively you can use SIW/Sandra/etc to find which SATA controller(s) you have and manually download and install drivers from the manufacturers.

I have a very similar problem -- but my error occurs during writing the Lead-In. Also with a Samsung drive (SH-203B). Same error on both cheap Ridata media and HP media. The HP media has been known to work for 100s of discs so far on this OS/drive. I installed Ubuntu Linux as a dual boot and immediately afterwards the drive fails to burn in Windows (must be unrelated, but felt I should mention in case anyone knows otherwise). I tried updating firmware from SB00 to SB04 for the drive. Same error.

Update ImgBurn.

Look for a newer BIOS for your motherboard. Try your burner on another SATA port with another SATA cable. You should also look for updated drivers for your motherboard's chipset, or at least for the controller where the burner is connected. If all that doesn't help try what this post says (removing controllers/etc).
