What can i do to avoid this?

The prompts says that it has successfully completed however there was a problem at 18:11:50 which has caused the burn to fail - can anybody help??

 

I'm using Verbatim discs and was doing my third burn of the day (the other two were successful)

There was an error but, apparently, it finished succesfuly on the 2nd try. You really should leave Verify enabled, as that ensures the disc was correctly burned.

You might want to try the other available write speeds. Also try a lens cleaning disc on that drive if you can. You may have more luck with the 2.4x Verbatim blanks too.

Thanks for your reply - is there any way to validate a dvd once it has been burned... to double check and make sure that it's not my xbox specifically that can't read it...???

You could use the read mode of the program to make sure that it can be read.

Tnanks Cynthia, i did try that and it seems able to read the disc... is it worth running the write program in test mode and verify before actually writing it again??

Test mode doesn't work with DVD+ media and you can only Verify if you actually burn something.

Tried burning it again at 2x speed and it works now - thanks foryour help
