kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Thank you ! Will these kind of disk require a specific writer ? ( able to write at 2,4x ? )
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 thanks, what is the minimum capacity required for the DVD ? 8,5 GO ?
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 thanls again i followed your instrction but this didn't work !!! I got this error message I 17:07:28 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 17:07:28 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 17:07:28 Total Physical Memory: 1.570.248 KB - Available: 637.744 KB I 17:07:28 Initialising SPTI... I 17:07:28 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 17:07:28 Found 2 DVD-ROMs and 1 DVD
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 i just want to add i used verbatim dvd+R DL 8.5 GO 8X and choosed X2.4 as the written speed ...hope this helps
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 MKM-003-00 are not MKM-001-00. The MKM-001-00 (2.4x rated) discs are more compatible with writers. The best thing for you to do now is buy a new drive (an external I guess if you're using a laptop?). Matshita ones are pretty rubbish anyway.
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 thank you again for your help. i tried whith another laptop ACER and img burn and it worked at X2.4 but the xbox360 didn't recognize the dvd and asked me to insert a dvd ... ???
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 do you think this drive samsung SE224Q will work with dvd verbatim 8X ? do you recommend other ?
Cynthia Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I guess the Samsung SE224Q is pretty much the same as my 223H and it burns ok at 6x. I do love my Pioneers more, as I get better burn results with that media with those.
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 thank you cynthia i'll buy a pioneer so ....but i need to burn at x2,4 and not x6...:-)
mmalves Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Burning slower doesn't necessarily mean a better quality burn, especially with newer burners and 8x media like yours
kobayashi Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 i know but i want to burn a xbox 360 games and on several tutorials they ask to use a 2.4X written speed ...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Just because it's written in someone's tutorial doesn't mean it's 100% correct and written in stone. It's different for every drive/firmware/media combo.
