LIGHTNING UK!
Get the 2.4x Verbatims, not the 8x ones. (MKM-001-00 dye Vs MKM-003-00 dye). Failing that, get yourself a decent external drive. Matshita ones are useless.

Matshita ones are useless. OK thanks, I'm going to try that. If it is failing again, what external drive do you recommend? I don't need a speedy one or the best, just that I can burn on 2.4x speed at least. Just a cheap, but nice drive.
Grootmeester
Oh and should 'Verbatim 2.4x Double-Layer DVD+R DL - 10 Disc Spindle' be allright from Amazon?
LIGHTNING UK!
So long as they really are 2.4x ones, yup. Try for ones made in Singapore if possible. A Pioneer 115/116/117/215/216/217 (the 1xx's are PATA, the 2xx's are SATA) drive should do you ok for DL burning, that or the new AD-7240 Optiarc. I can buy them (OEM) for about
