LIGHTNING UK!
There's a newer release of ImgBurn out, you should update. Try burning at 4x, your 'old' drive might do a better job at that speed. Try a cleaning disc in the drive too. If all else fails, hunt down some of the 2.4x verbs (MKM-001-00 dye) or invest in a new drive.

LIGHTNING UK!
I didn't say the new version would fix the problem, I just said you should update. You aren't using 2.4x verbatims, you're using the 8x ones. I 22:36:41 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x) If Windows 7 is being a problem for you, don't use it. LIGHTNING UK!
You tried MKM-001-00 discs? If cleaning the drive doesn't work, try the drive in another pc. If it works in the other PC, it's either the rest of your hardware or your OS. Like I said before, if Windows 7 isn't working for you, don't use it. Havent used a cleaning disc but i think its strange that it fails at 50% when its suppose to layer break. Dont you think that to?
LIGHTNING UK!
You've only posted 1 log and it shows the drive erroring out before it gets to the layer break. As such, I don't find it strange at all.
