Try this firmware update (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot the computer after it's finished).

Burn at 8x or 12x for best results, and if it still doesn't work, then try with better media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.

Thank you for trying to help, I downloaded the file and unfortunately my winzip has expired and cant unzip it. Any other suggestions? Maybe I can download it without the use of winzip?

Use 7-Zip instead: it's better and it's free

Didn't knew they now charge you for WinZip.

As far as I know, they always did :unsure:

Windows XP and newer have a built-in ZIP extract feature (a.k.a zipfldr.dll) but it seems most people disable it or use a program that takes over.

did both they didnt find anything. what do I do now

It can be too slow @ odd times

I always go 7zip route now the odd time I still use Winrar

I was able to unzip and run the file, and restarted my computer. I tried burning again at both 8x and 12x, here is the error message I recieved:
