Hi. Very very new to ImgBurn. I'd like to use it to burn mp3 files to a CD-RW disc as data files rather than audio files. I can fit a lot more files on a CD that way and they play fine in my car's radio/CD-RW player. I tried looking through the Guides here and of course it kept talking about burning mp3's as audio files. I tried using "Write Files/Folders to Disk" and it seemed to be going ok but eventually I got a message saying that I had not set the Write Parameters. Can anyone help? What procedure do I use to write mp3 files as data files and how do I get to the Write Parameters in the future if I need to set them? Thank you. AtownPA

You're using the right option ("Write files/folders to disc") for what you want. Also use ISO9660 + Joliet filesystems (look in the Options tab).

The error you've mentioned seems to indicate that your drive doesn't like that CD-RW disc. Can you post the log from that burn attempt? Look in ImgBurn's Help menu.

Your drive is probably ancient and doesn't follow MMC specs.

Go into the Settings (Tools menu) and change the 'Write Type' from SAO/DAO to TAO on the 'Write' tab.

In ImgBurn go to Tools -> Settings -> Write tab, change Write Type to TAO, click OK and try again.

//edit my turn to say "snap :P "

"Ancient" would be a good word for my entire system. I'm pretty sure it was one of the relics pulled from King Tut's tomb in the 1920's by Howard Carter. Thank you for your help.
