The inner plastic ring values start with "PEP6K3JE280". These are NOT likely from the same lot. Perhaps they are repackaged returns.. sold again and again until someone gives up and chokes down the loss. SuperMediaStore scammers! ZERO of the discs produce a valid burn. Most of the time the failure occurs during the leadin. I tried burning from the slowest speed to the fastest speed. ALL BURNS FAILED on both Plextor 716 with latest firmware and BenQ 1640 with latest firmware. I gave up on spindle one after 20 FAILURES IN A ROW, and after 10 FAILURES in a row on spindle two. Tried burning with Nero7, ImgBurn, DVDFab Platinum, Plextools. THIS IS THE WORST "MEDIA" EVER!! NEVER have I experienced 100% failures with a media. I tried with and without Plextor AutoStrategy. SuperMediaStore had the audacity to demand I pay return shipping on patently DEFECTIVE MEDIA. I simply cancelled my credit card payment. Remember if you get scammed you can always cancel your payment! Not surprisingly this product is no longer listed at SuperMediaStore FAILS at 16x FAILS at 12x FAILS at 8x FAILS at 6x FAILS at 4x 100% of ALL BURNS FAILED.

cornholio7 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 its cmc mag - dont expect anything else unfortunately
lfcrule1972 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Yeah I am with corny on this one - I avoid CMC MAG media like the plague, even if you got a burn that verified I am not sure it would be any good in a few weeks...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Odd error though. Maybe it's related to your have it connected via firewire.
polopony Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 If I read another post with someone wondering why CMC MAG discs dont work consistently or at all I'm going to PUKE Its been said and reported for years now that their media is CRAP and to void it if you want to be able to read it a year down the line or to be able to even burn to it
Movie Junkie Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I must agree with Polo. CMC IS PURE UNADULTERATED CRAP!!! Why anyone, after reading about it either here, Digital Digest, Clinks or anyother place would buy it is mind-boggling.
spinningwheel Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Now...now.... They make excellent targets for shotgun, handgun or rifle, so they do have a purpose.....it just isn't for data storage.
