Super Satellite Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) yesterday, i tried to burn a Nintendo Gamecube ISO using imgburn to a full size memorex dvd-r. i assumed that I needed 8cm DVD-R, like a standard GCN game. So i went to Staples and bought the only mini DVD-Rs I could find which are the Sony handycam accucore 1.4 mini DVD-Rs. I load the I want ISO on imgburn, and after i do a successful test burn. Imgburn immediately refuses to start to begin burning my sony Mini DVD-RS. The log goes through all the retries saying "write protected". I did no research before buying these dvds. I wanted to know if I am doing something wrong, or my writer is refusing it or doesnt support it because of a certain dye??? or if i should just never buy these again. I have an Acer Aspire laptop running vista. Slimtype DVD A DS8A1P (E:) If anyone has info or suggestions about these sony Mini DVDs, or my Writer, or my impulse disorder it would be greatly Appreciated Here is the Log. LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I guess your drive doesn't support them or you're running some packet writing software that's taking over the drive and preventing anything else from using it.
