McTowli3 Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 Ive got 4 Verbatim dual layer coasters now! first file that wont burn for me. i get an error just after it tries to verify the second layer. The burner firmware is up to date and so is imgburn! so my question is, do i have bad disc's? is my burner done? is the burner lens dirty? or is it a setting/program error? Heres the log... LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 You got a verify error which means the drive did a bad job of burning the disc. You might find it does at better job at 6x or 8x than it does at 4x (not that the 2x you selected doesn't even exist for your drive/firmware/media combo). Try the speed thing first, then clean the lens. If that doesn't work, try a new spindle of discs. If that doesn't work, try a new drive. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was told not to burn over 2x for this type of .iso(xbox360 backup) but i will try anyways to see if it completes it.. if that doesnt work i have a spare DVD DL burner i will throw in.
