Imgburn changed the order of my files

I'm a newbie at this so there may be an easy solution but.... When I write files/folders to disk (I'm trying to burn some tv episodes to dvd) Imgburn changes the order of the files. It's burning them in the order that they appear in the file on my computer. I've tried twice and I place the files into Imgburn in order but when the disk is burned the episodes are in a different order.??? I had to rename the folders on my computer so that they would be in the order I wanted them burned. I shouldn't have to do that, should I?

In the filesystem the files/folders are sorted alphabetically, so, yes, you'll need to rename them to be in the order you want.

 

Are you perhaps playing them on a DivX-capable DVD player? Or some other device like that?

There is an option in settings, that should do what you want, so check if you have it enabled (Settings... -> Build ->Page 1 -> Advanced - Sort Files By Source List Order). But it only works for files, not for folders.

...and that's to do with the physical order of the files - which of course has nothing to do with the names and the order they're stored within the file system.
