Ok, I am running Ubuntu 9.04. which picks up when I insert a blank disc. Everything works. I run imgburn using Wine and it starts, but imgburn wont detect my drive at all. The burning software for Ubuntu (brasero) will but not imgburn. Please help!

Ubuntu/Wine don't really advertise the drives properly all the time (and by 'advertise' I mean give them a drive letter than you can then use in the Windows programs).

By all means, report it (again) as a bug on the WineHQ bugzilla thing. In the mean time you can switch to the ASPI I/O interface as that seems to work when the default (and preferred) methods do not.

Checked that the burner is detected/set up right in winecfg?

Well that was really dumb of me, I configured that Wine detected it, and now img burn works like a charm, thank you!!
