accessgranter
I *did* read the FAQ, but I just wanted to make sure this was the problem of 'I should have bought Verbatim DVD+R DL discs' before actually going back out again. I have here TDK DVD+R Double Layer 8x Speed 8.5 GB discs (well, that's what it says on the disc). The thing is, I tried it with a game of mine, and it worked. The .dvd file and the .iso file were burned straight to the disc, no problem, and I can play it. I tried it again afterwards with a different game of mine, and I get this following error: I 15:03:03 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started!I 15:03:03 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 15:03:03 Total Physical Memory: 3,667,068 KB - Available: 1,055,024 KB W 15:03:03 SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance. LIGHTNING UK!
Personally I'd do both... get a decent external full size burner (i.e. a pioneer) and get some verbatims.
accessgranter
Hmmm, alrighty, thanks. I got the Verbatim discs today, and it seemed to work. I had another question, though; how do you burn movies that are in .avi format to a disc?
mmalves
You need to convert them with a program like DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD or similar before burning.
