Regards Please stop with the Inferior disc BS. Yes Verbatim is a better disc but Memorex did not cause my problem nor did it cause anyone elses unless there is a compatibility issue which is the result of the company who produced the burner. The discs burn fine. I have two externals that burn them fine and they last a long time as well. If there is a problem here, it is most likely the 40pin cable.

Confirmed by LG themselves as I have the LG GH22LP20 Model. Sometimes you have to swap from a 40pin to an 80pin IDE Cable to avoid getting the CRC Error.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 All new drives should be on an 80 wire cable. 40 wires only supports up to UDMA2 (and most drives are UDMA4 now).

Just a heads up, I shut down my system and noticed I had the 80 cable. The problem was the cable had come loose from the motherboard. Also I had an extra hard drive connected to the same 80 cable but I did not plug in the power to the hard drive. Not sure if that causes an interuption in the data being moved along the cable or not. I just pushed in the cable better into the motherboard and hooked the molex power into my extra hard drive and my DVD drive is now burning with no problems to my memorex discs.
