Can not erase DVD's

Hi,

 

I can't erase any RW media - when trying the erase process starts, but it never have been completed. I have MSI U100 Netbook with Windows 7 RC and LG GH22LP20 DVD Super-multi recorder. The recording process with already formatted dics are finished with no errors.

I can do some translation errors from my language to english - i really sorry.

I attached log (last line are created when i unplug device to stop erasing):

Why are you unplugging it after 5 minutes?

 

A full format at 4x will take 15 minutes.

I unpluged it, because recorder has stopped - and it is only try again - i have waited an hour! And on other PC the erasing with ImgBurn are finished successfully after 10 minutes - not an hour. And i can't update firmware - some kind of error apears

If you can't update the firmware then I guess you have bigger problems.

 

Could you post a screenshot of the error you see?

 

What happens if you plug the burner into a different PC? Still can't update the firmware?

The error are "Invalid F/W - Buyer Mismatch". And recorder are plugged in with ATA>USB adapter.

Did you try 1.03 and 1.04?

 

Did you buy the drive in a normal retail shop or did it come with a PC?

 

Maybe the people at cdfreaks can help you a bit more. Checkout their LG forum.
