yukiao Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61 @mmalves. Thanks but now i get a 'Tracking servo failure' IB found my dvd but something is wrong. I cannot push the write button
mmalves Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Sounds like as you don't have a burner. With ImgBurn in Write mode, right-click on the drive's name and choose Capabilities. What are the options checked under Write capabilities? You can post a screenshot if you prefer.

I have a vaio with a matshita disk drive and i should use dvd+r. and with other programs everything works fine.
mmalves Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Then please post the whole log from that burn session (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).

mmalves Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Update ImgBurn. You should also install Service Pack 3 on your Windows XP, which was released more than a year ago. That log doesn't show anything being burned, are you sure that's all of it? Have you looked in the Log window too?
yukiao Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 some of programs don't work in sp3 that's why i don't have it anymore. this is the log because the write to disk button don't become active. after this i closed IB I try with updating IB first
yukiao Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 I updated IB but this problem is still here. IB find the dvd*rw and then nothing to click for writing. the same log comes out
yukiao Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 @mmalves, thanks. have to go. later back
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 If it says that tracking servo message in the status bar on the main screen, you won't be able to burn. Your drive has basically rejected the disc you're using an is unable to initialise it. Get some other discs.
