Burning speed slowdown with Kaspersky and others

I have hoticed that imgburn hardly reach the selected burning speed with kaspesrsky internet security and avira (I haven't tested other vendors). I f I choose for example 8x speed the maximum speed I reach is 6x. The only antivirus that is working ok with imgburn is eset smart security. Is there a solution for this problem?

Thanks

Please post the log of a burn showing that behaviour (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).

Does the same thing happen if you try burning at 16x?

At 16x it is even worse... as I said in my first post it happens with kaspersky internet security but not with eset smart security.

Here are the log and attached the .ibg file.

Did you look at the buffer levels? Were they at 100% (or close to it) most of the time?

It's getting up to the right speed and then dropping back down. I guess those ones just don't work on Windows 7 too well yet. You could try enabling the buffered read in the settings on the I/O tab but I'm not sure if it'll do any good.

Give Discovery mode a go and see if that can burn at full speed.

Can you try the MMC media in the LG drive please.

Post the IBG's too. Better still, use 'BurnPlot' / 'DVDInfoPro' to get your own screenshots and post those up to save me doing it!
